This past fall I had the pleasure of planning and coordinating a beautiful outdoor wedding. The venue's property contained a gazebo that had seen many wedding ceremonies. However, the bride envisioned a wedding under the trees, not in a gazebo. Therefore we moved the ceremony to the edge of the property and used the gazebo as our welcome center. I love how it turned out!

Pumpkins and mums welcomed guests inside.

Purple silk draped the ceiling and the guest book and card box were located on one end of the gazebo. On the other end, I apologize for not
having a photo, we placed old
galvanized metal tubs with ice and ice water for the guests to enjoy.
Right below the water was a collage of photos of the bride and groom.

Chairs were placed inside the gazebo so guests could rest in the shade if necessary.

The card box pictured was custom-made by the groom himself.

As you walked through the other side of the gazebo you could see the ceremony site (photos will be in an upcoming post) with the beautiful backdrop of fall.

The guests seemed to love the outdoor welcome center! After the ceremony began I transfer the card box, photos and guestbook indoors to the reception site so they could be enjoyed throughout the evening!
What do you think about welcome centers?
Would you like one at your wedding?
